History in the primary years: narrative, contestability and perspective (1 hour)
This one hour course will stimulate thinking about the place of narrative in the NSW History Syllabus and the historical skills of source analysis, including perspectives and contestability. The session will be interactive to ensure teachers are equipped to support student learning in interrogating historical sources. Teachers will also consider how to assist students in engaging with the religious beliefs of those who have shaped history.
